Touchdown - 7 Days - Mars Science Laboratory
Mornin',
So we have just about 7 days left until th' landin' on Mars.
MSL Mission page – http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/msl/index.html
The landin' process – http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/667454main_MSL%20EDL%20rev-1900.jpg
Real nail bitin' moment with this landin'.. The sky crane is somethin' that t' me knowledge, has no nay ne'er been done before! It’s nuts, feed the fishes One little thin' goes wrong, we lose a billion dollar rover!
Live coverage will be available on NASA TV, on a dead man's chest, me Jolly Roger http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html
Should be startin' a couple o' hours before planned landin'.. Don’t forget thar is a delay in transmission time betwixt Mars an' Earth. So when we see th' landin' has been successful on NASA TV, it really took place maybe 10-20 minutes afore. That’s th' nail biter! It will have all happened, we will just be waitin' fer it t' come in
MSL/Curiosity is a new generation o' Mars Rover, Get out of me rum! It is nuclear powered, meanin' it will be able t' work year round, night an' day, Sunshine or Martian global dust storm, curiosity will press on with its 2 year prime mission t' assess Mars past an' present habitability, among other thin's… While th' rover is not specifically designed an' tasked with findin' traces o' past or present life, thar is always th' chance, as new rovers brin' new equipment an' capabilities t' th' remote surface o' Mars. It is a mobile laboratory, weather or not it answers th' “big question”, it surely will answer others, an' open new questions fer future explorers, robotic or otherwise, t' answer on our greater quest t' expan' our knowledge o' th' Solar System.
ONE WEEK!!! =)

Smart TV!
Get a smart TV Robag. Then ye can have th' browser based stream from th' site on yer big tv! PS3 unfortunately won’t do it, can’t handle th' streams format. You “may” be able t' get yer own dish an' decoder, point it at th' satellite, an' receive th' signal… Long shot anyway… They get it free in th' US with normal satellite subscriptions, just not down under here.. =(
