Star Wars Battlefront Open Beta October 8th

Electronic Arts announces beta testing of Star Wars Battlefront will take place between October 8th and October 12th, paving the way for the release of the Star Wars action game on November 17th. Earlier this month that the beta will begin next month, and just last week they announced this will be open to all applicants. Here’s word:

Get ready to be taken to a galaxy far, far away! Today, we are happy to reveal that the Star Wars™ Battlefront™ Beta will be available for PlayStation®4, Xbox One and on PC via Origin for players between October 8 and October 12. The Star Wars Battlefront Beta is a technical test and will give Rebels and Imperials alike just a small taste of the Star Wars™ battle fantasies you can expect to live out when the game launches on November 17.

One the the NBA lovers get your glitch on lolz

NBA Live 16 isn’t slated to launch until September 29, but a free demo is available now on PS4 and Xbox One. Players have quickly discovered that, like other EA Sports games before it, this one also has bugs—some of which are hilarious.

My favorite of the bugs, compiled on NeoGAF, would have to be this glitch where Kevin Love lines up for a free throw and then proceeds to shoot the ball at the hoop on the other side of the court. Watch it below.

Steam Machine Preorders

Valve is now accepting Steam Hardware Pre-Orders, saying that this provides the opportunity to order an Alienware Steam Machine and Steam Controller to arrive on October 16th, weeks ahead of the “official” November 10th launch. Here’s the offer:

Valve, GameStop, EB Games, Micromania, and GAME UK today announced the first pre order offerings for Steam Hardware devices will begin at 10 am Pacific. A collection of hardware designed to expand the Steam gaming experience into the living room and beyond, the new Steam Hardware devices are targeted to arrive in North America and Europe this fall.

In an exclusive partnership, starting June 4 and for a limited time, customers in the U.S. may pre-order an Alienware Steam Machine, Steam Link, and/or a Steam Controller from GameStop or Steam and have their order available on October 16, weeks before the official launch of November 10.
