After a lengthy review (¹) where the entire team had the chance to have their say, the value of Svalbards for different actions has been changed. These have been stored for the record on the Svalbard Register page.

It was good to have a rethink about how they are distributed and we had some very smart suggestions on top of the tweaking of the existing values, eg.

• The Rich List was removed from the front page and replaced by the top contributors of the month.
  • Edit: Temporarily it will be contributors of the week for a period of about 2 weeks until some of the large transfers prior to this change drop off the monthly count.
• A rule was setup to automate giving svalbards when a spam users account or comment is deleted or approved (this isn’t something that is supported out of the box by the userpoints module).
