Code of Conduct
TEAM IPX strives to provide an environment where people feel safe, welcome and wanted.
Due to the age ranges evolved within Team IPX Ranks the BOD feels that a Code of Conduct is required, to provide information to all Team IPX.
The Code of Conduct will be administered by the Team IPX BoD.

Use of Team IPX systems:
- Team IPX Website (teamipx.net)
- IRC (Internet Relay Chat)
- Mumble (VOIP)
- Official TEAM IPX Servers (eg. ET,ETQW,L4D,L42D,WOP,SG,BFBC2)
Acceptable Behaviour
Be polite and treat others with respect. Just because you’re online doesn’t mean you should be a Tard.
- Welcome newcomers (see Team IPX Rule Book Rule 21). The more people on Team IPX Systems, the more fun for everyone.
- Make friends. If you find players you enjoy gaming with, add them to your in game friends list.
- File a complaint with the Team IPX BoD if the member of TEAM IPX is violating the Code of Conduct.
- Above all have fun!
Unacceptable behavior
- forwarding of IPX confidential messages to external locations
- distributing, disseminating or storing images, text or materials that might be considered discriminatory, offensive or abusive, in that the context is a personal attack, sexist or racist, or might be considered as harassment
- breaking into the IPX’s or another organisation’s system or unauthorised use of a password/mailbox
- transmitting unsolicited commercial or advertising material
- undertaking deliberate activities that waste the BoD’s time and effort or networked resources
- introducing any form of computer virus or malware into any network
Members of Team IPX are permitted and encouraged to use these systems where such use supports the goals and objectives of the Team IPX.
The Team IPX BoD has a policy for the use of Team IPX Systems whereby the members of Team IPX must ensure that they:
- comply with instructions provided by the Team IPX BoD
- do not create unnecessary risk to Team IPX by their misuse of the internet
- do not threaten or intimidate any person or suggests violence, hatred or discrimination toward other people on Team IPX Systems;
- do not use inappropriate and/or abusive language or conduct on Team IPX Systems;
- do not Cyber bully any other members of Team IPX;
- do not publish defamatory, abusive, obscene or profane on Team IPX Systems;
- do not transmit messages of sexual harassment or which contains inappropriate overtones via TEAM IPX Systems;
- do not send or supports bulk mail, junk mail or “spamming” Team IPX Systems;
- do not participate in a forum or PM flaming wars on the Team IPX Systems.
Monitoring
Members of Team IPX accept that the use of Team IPX Systems is a valuable Team IPX tool.
However, misuse of this facility can have a negative impact upon members of Team IPX productivity and the reputation of the Team IPX.
In addition, all of the IPX’s resources are provided for Team IPX purposes.
Therefore, the Team IPX BoD maintains the right to examine any systems and inspect any data recorded in those systems.
In order to ensure compliance with this policy, the Team IPX BoD also reserves the right to use monitoring software in order to check upon the use and content of Team IPX Systems.
Such monitoring is for legitimate purposes only and will be undertaken in accordance with procedure agreed within the Team IPX BOD.
Sanctions
Where it is believed that a member of Team IPX has failed to comply with the Code of Conduct, they will face the Team IPX BoD disciplinary procedure.
These actions can be and are not limited to:
- Three to Six month demotion from current Rank
- Formal Warning Letter
- Reinstatement of Probation Period
- Remove of access to TEAM IPX Systems i.e. (e-mail, Mumble, Website and IRC)
- Remove from TEAM IPX Ranks
