Frontlines: Fuel of War

Here is the promised review

This game is based in the not to distant future where the world has almost run out of oil. The lack of fuel is causing world economys huge problems, with smaller countrys struggling to survive. Most countrys join up into one of two teams. Most of what is now NATO joins the Western Coalition. Russia and China create the Red Star Alliance.
Red star launches attacks because of suspision that a coup in a oil rich Red Star Nation was caused by Western Coalition. As both teams scramble to secure the fast dissapearing oil supplies it turns into all out war.

This game has acutally been out for quite a while but to be blunt when it was released it was crap. It was buggy and nothing worked. There was lots of hype but it did not live up expectations.
5 patches later ands its become a really good game. They have fixed all the issues and I have yet to find any new ones.

L4D Torny

Right have found this http://ozleft4dead.com/forums/index.php?showforum=26. An ausy L4D Torny unfortunatly we have missed the sign ups they filled all 32 slots in a few days. Judging by the layout I doubt it will take long till this torny is over.
So perhaps next season we field a team?

But untill then who wants to play TSW ? I can organise a match if you guys are keen?

Dawn of War 2

As some of you may have noticed i have been playing DOW2 recently. I have to say it would be the best RTS game i have ever played! Im only about half way through the single player but it has a very strong story line that keeps pulling you in. You control several squads of marines aswel as your Commander. You can upgrade the gear of the squad leaders and your commander as the game moves through and they gain levels. Changing their weapons and giving them new traits and abilitys. It is not you typical RTS game. You dont build a base and a huge army and smash them into the other players. You have a rather small force and you have to use cover and strat to achieve your goals. It also has a very strong emphisis on teamwork(you cant win games on you own). You need to be smart about how you control your army.

FOW and L4D

Been talking to one of my mates from teamsidewinder (They the top NZ team for everything) and they are looking at entering ausy/nz tornys for L4D. As IPX obvously has a large interest in the game and more that 4 active players perhaps we should like into this?

Also he said that there has been a big patch for Front Lines fuel of war. (Flopped big time on release cos the developers thought we liked bugs) Aparently all the bad things about the game have been fix so im gonna load it up somtime this weekend and check its out. Will put a report up after ive had a play.

But anyway competitve L4D wot you dudes think?

Svalbard Binge

Well after looking at everyones svalbards i realised that eveyone apart from me has far to many, looks at fuzz. So this is warning of the incoming storm of useless and pointless posts from me. My aim is to beat fuzz’s count in 2 or 3 weeks time.

If i destroy the world by posting to much im sorry but this is a risk we have to take.

New IPX Game

Hey Dudes.

I dont know about you guys but im thinking we need to rustle up a new team game. ETQW is fun but is def dying slowly.
There are some very kool multi-player games out there and coming out soon. Recent one Ive been playing Is COD5 World at war. Def worth playing.
Maybe the Strat game like the new Dawn of war 2 coming out soon
But i think we need something new.
