Warframe!

They were called Tenno. Warriors of blade and gun: masters of the Warframe armor. Those that survived the old war were left drifting among the ruins. Now they are needed once more.

The Grineer, with their vast armies, are spreading throughout the solar system. A call echoes across the stars summoning the Tenno to an ancient place. They summon you.

Allow the Lotus to guide you. She has rescued you from your cryostasis chamber and given you a chance to survive. The Grineer will find you; you must be prepared. The Lotus will teach you the ways of the Warframes and the secrets to unlocking their powers.

Come Tenno, you must join the war.

Warframe is a cooperative free-to-play third person shooter set in a sci fi world. You are a Tenno and take control of one of 24 warframes, each with their own abilities. There’s a massive range of weapons, from shotguns, pistols, nailguns, snipers, bows, machine guns anything you could wish for including melee weapons such as swords and axes!

There is a ton of depth with the customizing system! Weapons and warframes are moddable by placing enhancements onto them which can be levelled up and moved around at will. Want a 2 handed axe built with attack speed and magnetic damage to demolish infected and shielded units? Or perhaps a bow with maxed out piercing and corrosion damage to demolish the Grineer faction’s ferrite armour? The choice is yours.

The game supports 1-4 player co-op of missions which are specific mission types randomly generated from a specific tileset. There are several tilesets and layouts available, several factions with strengths and weaknesses, bosses with unique tactics (NOT just a monster with a high hp pool!) and lots more! Extermination missions where you kill everyone in the level? Defense missions where you defend a capsule for as long as possible, and get out when you near defeat? Interception missions where you play the classic Domination gametype from Unreal Tournament? and there are others too.

Unlock new warframes by collecting their parts from boss drops and build them in the foundry! Buy weapon blueprints from the marketplace and create that 3 bullet burst rifle you saw someone else using! Maybe even unlock some new weapons by researching them in the clan dojo.

Maybe even participate in the 4-8 man late game raids?

As you can see, there is lots to do! The game is a bit grindy, you tend to farm missions a lot to get money and resources but hey, I find it quite enjoyable – I have over 150 hours clocked so far, currently working towards my next weapon, the Paris Prime…
