Revision of Duke Nukem' Forever: First look from Fri, 08/10/2010 - 20:49

ltmon's picture

First look at this particular incarnation of the perpetually unreleased game.

In any case:

Pros:
1. The environment looks like Duke Nukem, and not some generic brownish FPS as the last few attempts were
2. Looks pretty
3. Seems gimicky (in a good way)
4. Ending

Cons:
1. Stinks of console
2. Boss fight looks a bit unimaginative
3. Seems gimicky (in a bad way)
4. Someone already drew a cock ‘n’ balls on the whiteboard, now there’s nothing original left to do

Duke Nukem 4EVA

To see them demo this on a console makes me cry, Duke was a champion of PC gaming, if they have cut his balls off to fit him in a console it will be very sad indeed. But it is Duke so as long as they are not complete ning nongs it looks as though it will be good.

Duke

As has probably become fairly apparent… I’m a big Duke fan. It does look like the environments right. As long as it’s on PC, and they find a way to capture a similar feel to the original, this should be good. It does look so much better than all the previous attempts.
