“The big day will be the 23rd of October for Australia and New Zealand, which is only a few days behind the game’s US date.
And this date counts for all the platforms the game’s being released on – PC, 360 and PS3.”
Gearbox have announced the dem0 is being put 0n h0ld 2 push the game 0ut…..
It is a shame the dem0 hasn’t been released yet…..
Gearbox’s Mikey Neumann cited “factors”. Lots of them.
We talk about a demo every day. We would love to do a demo. There’s obviously factors there. If and when we do one,
I don’t know if it’d be pre-launch or post-launch, because …there’s a lot of factors there.
We would love to promise a demo, we can’t quite yet, we just want to get the game done.
That’s always the hardest thing for developers to do—you never quite know how the time’s going to work out.
We’re doing really well, but I can’t promise it.
Rum0ur is the dem0 was g0ing t0 include 4 squares of real estate but as the dem0 has been put 0n h0ld
rum0ur is they will reduce it t0 1 square and just release the dem0 shortly….
GFW: You said from the first week you guys were designing this as a co-op game.
What sorts of things are built into the game for the explicit purpose of teamwork or playing with a friend? Or is that an open-ended…
RP: If you are alone, you can play the game beginning to end. If you have friends, the experience is fun too. It’s fun in different ways — you can interact socially, you can work together, you can trade — but the game works whether you have one, two, three, or four players. In fact you can play the game halfway through yourself, take your character and all your stuff and all your skills, and then join [director Matt Armstrong]‘s game and you guys can play together and get some new stuff. Maybe he’s got some items he’ll give to you, and then you can take all the stuff you’ve got, the new levels you’ve gone up, the new skills you’ve developed, all your new equipment, and then go back to where you were in your game and keep going. You can finish the game, take your character, and start it again. And your character is just going to get better and better and better.

Dem0 may B 0ut s00ner than we think
You sure..?
I’ve been hearing that a demo may not happen. If it does, then post-launch demo is the most likely.
That’s what the game developers said anyway. Hopefully thay have changed their minds…
Rum0ur dem0 is 2B reduced

Don't care
I don’t care about the 1 bloack of real estate. I’m more keen on figuring out the basics. Gimme a few weapons, some enemies, and a chunk of land!
