Dirt 3 Cat n Mouse Challenge
Hi Guys
As many of you may know foe the last few weeks some of us have been playing the new Dirt 3.
For those of us who wernt around for it we used to run DOPIT which was a racing comp within IPX the rewards being svalbards and bragging rights.
This post is to check interest and thoughts on setup Dirt 3 comp but rather than just straight racing we would be running a Cat n Mouse game type.
Cat n Mouse game type :
Two or more people race in teams, one person being the mouse. This person must drive a mini and try to get to the finish as fast as possible. The other member or members will be driving group B cars and must try to protect their mouse and stop the others from winning.
We would run it with teams of two and up to 4 teams in any one race. Points would be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and we would run several races and tracks over several weeks and the winners would be awarded svalbards at the end of the comp.
So what does everyone think?

absolutely in for that. Last nights game was great. Anyone who hasn’t got the game, it’s worth it just for the fun game modes like this, outbreak, and capture the flag

Haha, I hate dirt 3.
But as is in my nature, I’ll give an unbiased honest opinion!
The game (racing at it’s core) sucks! IMHO dirt 2 was much better at simplistic racing! And if we do a dopit on just racing, count me out!
However, there is an upside and it does have one redeeming quality that makes me agree with fuzz! And admit that it’s worth a buy!
Online multiplayer modes, based on outrageous fun and lols!
It really does make the difference!
So while I’ll never play this game for racing, or single player, count me in for the funarse of this game!

DOPIT
I respectfull disagree with shadow, for what its worth i feel the driving in single player on rally and trail blazer tracks is cleaner, smoother and more realistic, especially with the graphical increases.
As for DOPIT, keen to get that underway, either seperatly or at the same time as Cat ‘N’ Mouse.
When i get back online i will be doing up a rule sheet and talking to people about setting up a Dirt comp which will include persons outside of IPX. Will post more on this later.
I very much recommend people to get dirt 3 for the multi player even if you dont like simulated/arcade racing. The online is just hilarity!
PS: If DOPIT re runs as it did in dirt 3. i intend to win every run – bring it Matt and Spud
