Free Games and more
Thought I would make up a list of some free games to fill up that awful awful spare time!!
www.silkroadonline.net/ Havnt played this one in well over a year now. Think of it as free, cheap, lean World of Warcraft, but without the noobification that is chained to WoW. I played it for a few months. Becomes the same old repetitious slashing and casting and drinking of potions that I ‘imagine” WoW to be like ( No I swear I have NEVER played World of Warcraft!! Seen it played ONCE on a lower end system, heard about it before most people heard about it.)
http://rigsofrods.blogspot.com/ Read the keysheet and manual .pdf files, and then have fun smashing vehicles up. Havn’t tried its online feature yet, I imagine it to be in the league of San Andreas Multiplayer in terms of how streamlined it is.. It’s just a small project vehicle damage physic simulator, I think? Some might claim it to be a game.. You decide, give it a go.
http://www.sa-mp.com/ – Ok not exactly a free game, but I swear most gamers have San Andreas! If you don’t have it, or never even played it yet, and you don’t mind playing older games, then you’ve missed out! San Andreas Multiplayer (SAMP) is a work in progress. Its fun at first, the lag sucks, I don’t think if will ever be quiet right, still give it a try. Gotta appreciate modders creativity =p
http://www.bridgebuilder-game.com/ – Build bridges to fuck knows where, the other side of a river, but then to where…?
http://www.americasarmy.com/ – Ahh yes, Americas Army.. Possibly inspired by “Operation Flashpoint ( which I never got the chance to play, and never will.), for use as a recruiting tool for the United States Army, sometimes compared to Counter Strike, however the gameplay is much more slow. You will need the 10 minutes or whatever the rounds typically are, opposed to the 3 or so minutes for a typical round of CS. I played AA years ago now, it was alright for something totally free. The most realistic shooting of any game I have played, making it more enjoyable for some, less so for everybody else. Tried to play it again after getting used to CS:S, never went back to AA since, just handles too different then your typical First Person Shooter. May hurt your QWET skills and turn you all n00b!!!11oneone
http://www.scorched3d.co.uk/ – Some of us may remember the old classic… Scorched… Now try it in 3D.. I would actually prefer the original.. If I can find a link, it will be here. * 2 Minutes Later….* Here it is..
http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/download/game/144 – 1991 – Earlier version…??
http://www.bestoldgames.net/eng/old-games/scorched-earth.php – 1995 – Thats the one we played right???
Please go ahead guys and help build a list up. Free games and your favorite mods for your favorite games =)
Maybe if we get enough it can be made a site topic =)

Silk Road sounds alright, I haven’t really read all that much into
it but I might be willing to give it a go. Thanks Hashy.

that’s how a blog works :)
You’re thinking of forum posts that bump to the top when you reply or change them.
