I first would have assumed that, ofcourse.. The Indian Ocean is “upwind” from us.. As in, the Earths rotation, coriolis effect.. Not as simple as this ofcourse, but its good for them to atleast find what may be causing these drought patterns, better then assuming that it is completely at the whim of El Nino, La Nina, and GCC (Global Climate Change.. Yes, I just made that up.. =p ).
Interesting to see the effect that changes in currents in the Indian Ocean will have on the drought effect here. Don’t expect us to be able to do anything about this realistically technologically anytime soon.. But hey, gotta find where the problems comming from before we can fix it =D
