The green drives are slow compared to blue or black, even though they have a bigger cache than the blue drives…

I say swap that drive for a WD black.

Good choice on using GIGABYTE parts :-)

Mate have been looking at this a fair bit lately. Check out the WP build forum if you haven’t already as they spec heaps of builds similar to what you’re looking for. Lots of good advice to be found there.

A couple of things you might want to think about are:
HDD Samsung f3 value for money vs performance
CPU if its just for games go the i5 2500K and if you intend to do other stuff that would utilise the i7 go the i72600k. the Ks are reported to overclock nicely and are only $20 more.
MB farks me so many choices and really comes down to how much shite (drives, gpus etc) you want to run off it.
PSU maybe go a Silverstone or corsair unit based on non-evidenced based brand biased advice
GPU as far as I can tell the general consensus seems to be that you are better off getting the best single GPU you can afford now rather than going SLI with lesser cards. If you go a better card now you can always pick up another one in a few months time when the drop the prices as a result of new releases.

I’m sure robag, fuzz, Lt and the other tech orientated members can give much better advice.
