Hi All i just went to EB and i got this
Homefront – Collector’s Edition PC

Pugh I dunno, I’m not sold yet!
IMHO it looks very consoly and very bf2 and cod ripoffish. Just watching the demo all those “250 points” flashing on the screen was annoying! I know all games do that now, but they are generally desecrate when done well (bfbc2 and etqw) but when don’t like this it it paints to me the obvious “it’s all about the frags” mentality associated with cod.

This might “do well” but that doesn’t necessarily make it a hood game!
My money is on brink being “better” but losing out to the industrial machine which is Homefront. But Homefront will only survive till BF3 is released!

in MW there was an arcade mode where it came up like that

But brink is cartoony design, like borderlands (which also did the pop up xp dealie), so if it’s done well, it’s ok!

I’ve also seen it don’t in the game XIII (thirteen) again a cartoon style where you saw “ratta tat tat” words come out of the gun like in a comic book and a “BAMMMMM!!!” when stuff exploded.

I personally think it’s worse when you cant decide what your doing! “Are you going for realism or for fun?”

looks like bfbc2 a lot, do I need a 2nd game of that sort………..??? i’ll wait and see what anyone buying it thinks first
