Flatout 2

Plays nicely on Linux via Wine, so no complaints here :)

The demo is fun, but limited (duh). Lots of destruction and carnage, but sometimes I just miss the pedestrians to mow down.

Cool arcade physics, destructable cars, nicely done tracks.

The game’s “party piece” is the bit where your driver goes through the windscreen. It’s fun to watch about once, then it’s just annoying. Luckily the rest of the game is most of what you’d want from a good but not earth-shattering arcade racer/

I’d buy it if anyone from IPX wanted to race. Not sure how much it costs though, the “Buy me now” link is 404.

Just finished getting my copy of FO2. It’s pretty awesome online. I just fired it up, and joined a game against some random overseas players. Played 4 races in a row. Lots of fun.
