Shock loss: Team IPX taken to the cleaners by relative unknowns "RoK"

In a titanic battle, and underdone Team IPX found themselves outmatched by a fighting fit Regiments of Khaos in the GA ETQW tournament. The final score of 4 – 0 didn’t do justice to the blood, sweat and tears poured into the struggle by IPX members against all the odds. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Tournament at GameArena

For those who haven’t seen in the forums, GameArena is running an Enemy Territory: Quake Wars competition and calling for registration now.

Team IPX will be entering a team :) Although we don’t expect to be in the hunt for the grand prize of $10,000 it will be a good opportunity to make the most of a great game we’ve all pretty much paid for and to show off our awesome hockey skills.

The format of the tournament is 8v8, playing best-of-3 stopwatch rounds. It will be a knockout/elimination contest, with a full schedule to be determined once registrations are complete. Full details are available at http://www.gamearena.com.au/competitions/etqw/

If you haven’t already registered with GA, do so NOW and join Team IPX for this tournament. Even though it is 8v8, substitutes are allowed between rounds and between matches, so there’s no excuse for not registering. Having a few more than 8 will allow us to keep playing even if Real Life ™ rears it’s ugly head for some, and some of us more noob players are more than happy to share our spot in the team if we have more available.

Shad is our official team captain for the tournament, and will be handling the administrative details, contact with GA etc. etc.

Note: As of 2 minutes ago we now have the requisite 8 players registered and are qualified to enter. But as I said, keep ‘em coming!

PROMOTIONS for ltmon and Chipper

Team IPX held a ceremony on Friday 14th September. Honorary Member ltmon and Chipper where both presented with full Team IPX membership and Official Members jerseys by the Almighty Chewbacca in a scene reminiscent of STAR WARS “a new hope”
With Chewbacca’s roar the Team IPX Founders & Members erupted in cheer.

ltmon and Chipper over the last 6 months have displayed exemplar performance as Team IPX Honorary Members. Fuzz, Founding Member of Team IPX, said “Without them both, teamipx.net would not have been possible” “They have gelled well with the Team IPX environment and there gaming skills are fantastic” said, Founding Member, Sha8doW

ltmon and Chipper were also presented with a limited Edition bottle of Team IPX Red Wine, which is hand made in the Sha8doW Family vineyard.

“It Validates my life” said Ltmon in his acceptance speech

“It great to feel Appreciated” said Chipper to the cameras on his way back to the Team IPX vehicle.

TeamIPX.net goes live!

After months of planning, late nights, lots of $ and a nasty Jamaican, Team IPX has finally moved from Wetpaint to its very own hosted website, teamipx.net

It was a team effort, but special mention must go to Fuzz for his diligence in getting a pack of lazy sobs into action.

The new site has lots more to offer ontop of the old site including:

IPX News Edition 4 - The Sha8doW family welcome baby boy Sha8dow!

Greetings and welcome to the 4th Edition of IPX news.

Team IPX is proud to congratulate Sha8doW and Mrs Sha8doW on the birth of their first child. “Sha9doW” (as his codename currently stands) was born on the 12th at 9:35PM after a 13 hour labour. He weighs 3685g and is 51cm tall. Baby mother and father are all doing well but need their rest.
