Crushing graphics snatched away from the game that should have been great… I bring you, the next incarnate of the CryENGINE 3©. Nexuiz is cruising out of the console market and coming to the PC very soon. The Beta shuts off on April 29th with full release May 4th, so this will be a quick test. But what better way to play a full version demo then through a beta test. If you do like it though, its a nice low low price of $8.99USD.

This will not be for the faint of heart, it will require snap aiming and fast movement. If you have ever played the old multiplayer Quake franchise, then you know how lethally quick this game will be. They aim to bring ArenaFPS back into the spot light. With the original Quake style dropping out of the seen, they have stepped in to give it well needed shove out of the dark. This could lead into paid competitions if you can pull the moves, with talks of private tournaments running in the beta already. There’s gonna be some cash up for grabs for anyone willing to give it a shot.

Now down to some more game flavor details. There will be over 100 different ‘Dynamic Mutators’ to boost your champ in ways that best suit your style. With so much customization, there’s bound to be some awesome game play variety. They might have thrown in lots of bells and whistles, but they have still kept the fine line of game balance in check. Spanning over 9 arenas of team death match or CTF plus the option of ripping up the AI in solo and duke it out in online 4v4 action. During a match you will pick up ‘Dynamic Mutators’, giving different bonus depending on what you collect. They gave this section a little bit of spice by making these not only buffs for you, but split up into four types effecting you, your team, just the enemy or global on everyone. These can change a game pretty quick, with things like forced sniper mode or changing it into aerial combat with jet packs. Taking a page out of the book of Brink, in come 3 different body class. You never know when you might need a heavy gunner to grab that flag and get it home… or flip into a light body, and gun down carrier. They have also packed in a decent load of weapons ranging from shotguns and the good old sniper rifles, through to heavy hitting standard rocket launchers and mortar bouncing rocket launchers. Scattered around the map are pick ups for health, armor and strength to keep you in the action longer.
