bout smoking. Thought it might make for an interesting topic here. Not being a smoker myself (ever really), thought it might be somewhat interesting. Not really fussed about converting anyone to non smoking, or interested in smoking myself. Just for something different I guess.
i remember my had my first cigarette when i was 14 by myself experimenting… and gosh did i hate it from the taste, the choking and coughing…lol… i guess thats why i never took it up….i only smoke when ive drunk too much (more like blacked out) and someone around me is smoking….when i was in the army and out in the field on exercise having cigarettes was like gold. i always found it amusing when some guys out of desperation in need of a ciggy would be willing to pay 3x s packet of cigarette just for a single ciggy. lol.
as for cigars i smoke it only on special occasions and only when im with the boys.
i have never smoked and i never will. i have friend(that’s right i have friends!) whos nickname is DS because he smokes deathsticks. i have tried 2 stop him smoking but when i do he gets a death stick out and blows the smoke into my face! lol
First thing I smoked was eucalyptus leaves in rolled up newspaper. Later on I got used to the whole smoking and choking reflex, by smoking really nasty tobacco in a bucket billy. I recently quit smoking, but do admit I have had ciggies from time to time but am not “on them”. I don’t need them, and actually getting off them I have been able to take a closer look at what tobacco/nicotine actually does to you. It is VERY subtle in some ways. It actually creates the anxiety which makes you smoke to try and take it away, somewhat of a paradox. Now the tobacco “smoke”, either because of the plants own compounds or the nicotine in the smoke, is a vascular constrictor. When I quit, my headaches went away. When I have some, usually more then a couple, the headaches come back. Vascular constriction. I had thought too that “smoke is smoke”. NOTTRUE. The consistency of the smoke and consequently its tar, is VERY different to “other non descript smokable plant products”. Lets call one smoke green, and the other brown shall we?
The brown smoke is the vascular constrictor, where as the green smoke, is a vascular DILATOR. This means, the brown smoke closes up your airways and blood vessels. The green smoke, opens up your airways and blood vessels. Not sure weather it is to do with the main active ingredient in each, or because of the plants different organic compounds, but they are QUIET different in texture. I did think that all smoke is the same until recently that I had directly observed the difference between the two.
Now typical smokers culture, has the habit of mixing both of these together, quiet simply overall, for reasons of ECONOMY, not effect. What do you think will be happening to your airways and blood vessels while your smoking both at the same time? I can only envision some sort of spasm like action or confusion if you will. Just interesting that, something legal in our society will restrict your passage ways, and impede your bodies natural functions, while the other lesser legal smoke, will “mostly” do the OPPOSITE. Does this make sense? Don’t live on Earth if you want things to add up!! =p
Wanna hear more ill tell yas. Figured if I was gonna destroy my body and spirit by smoking those things, I should take the time to do some learning with it seeming as other smokers wont, and there’s just stuff the Quit Line doesn’t even know themselves. Misunderstandings are one of the biggest problems and causes of conflict in this society, but tobacco just sucks and does not do anything positive for your body or spirit. Clove ciggies are delicious!

Yep… must admit I’ve done that :)
Flavour much?
Strong woody tones with hints of eucalypt which ad to the smokey flavour
Overheard a convo on Mumble

cut down a lot
but still smoke a couple a day. Some days better than others lol
smoked pj virginia’s since I was about 15 (first packet was bought for my by a teacher rofl) as just about everyone in my family smokes.
Recently tried cutting down and no longer smoke 10 smokes a day, smoke more like 2-3 now.
They calm my nerves (sometimes when I start playing QW’s my aim is jittery as shit, but if I have a smoke my hands smooth out)
In fact sometimes I smoke while playing, with it drooping out of my mouth as I scream “DIE BEASTS!” in a bubba accent ;)
Smoking the nicotine pole before anyone else says it :)
As for cigars… only real cigars, the fake ciggarettes cigars tast nothing like a real cigar.
Thats like an anniversary or birthday sort of thing
We are talking about L4D right?
;-)
yes, that’s what I meant :)
