pc score
So after listening to Mat last night buying new pc bits, I thought it would be nice to see some sort of pc performance score for IPXer’s computers. I’d like to see how some of the new mid range stuff that has come out recently compares to some of the ageing super computers that some have.
What we need is a good free base program to use, so we all are measured equally. Any suggestions?
Not looking for e-peen just wondering if things have actually improved much perf vs $ over the last couple of years.

For PC windows based Benchmarks
we used this application Limpet
Unigine Benchmark
ta
Robag
sounds good, are we
keen to have another round of benchmarks with that program or is there something better out there.
3dmark06, novabench or even fraps.
I'm up for this
got an old beast of a machine, soon to be upgraded to a new beast.
Getting it now
On a side note, I just bought oil rush from there website. Looks kind of fun, and its only $20.
so
if we use Unigine, which bench mark do we use. Heaven or tropics.
so with Heaven dx 11 and no settings changed

Nice scores...
Geez my old PC can’t even do DX11, it only goes up to 10. I can’t even run a comparable benchmark.
Table Time!!

you better hurry up and get a new computer then…..

I totally keep forgetting to look at the right...
I keep forgetting there is an updated thread section on the right. Sorry mate, only just noticed you wrote to me. I ran the benchmark in maxed out full spec. Here is the specs of my card if you are interested.

Here you go
I think you might be right though, I think a benchmark on a little lower settings might give us a better idea of the range. At this spec the scores are so close its hard to tell how they are performing. So I dropped the specs back to DX9 with 1680×1050.
