Queanbeyan Flood Appeal JKS:D

PLEASE DIG DEEP PEOPLE
Torrential rain hit Queanbeyan in the early hours of Wednesday 8th
December 2010.
Victims were seen wandering around aimlessly, flannies soaked,
woollen trackies sagging, muttering ‘Faaackinell’.
Flood waters devastated the area causing approximately $30 worth of
damage, $10 of that at Karabar alone.
Three areas of historic burnt out cars were disturbed. Many locals
were woken well before their Centrelink cheques arrived.
The Queanbeyan Age reported that hundreds of residents were confused
and bewildered and were still trying to come to terms with the fact that
something interesting had happened in Queanbeyan .
One resident – Tracy Maree Sharon Britney Madonna Smith, a
15-year-old Mother of 5 said ‘It was such a shock, my little
daughter Chardonnay-Mercedes came running in to my bedroom crying.
My youngest two
Joachim and River slept through it all.’
Apparently, looting, muggings and car crime were unaffected and

Bad Company 2 PC Changes Planned [11:01 am ET]

Electronic Arts Forums gave a post from DICE community manager Daniel ‘zh1nt0’ Matros outlining plans for upcoming changes to the PC edition of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (thanks Ant via Planet Battlefield). He says this is, “just one part of a bigger list of updates that we are going to release very soon. This update will also require server downtime.” Here are the changes they are revealing:

One of the Insignia’s requiring an unobtainable Bronze star for the tracer dart – requirement removed.
Hit registration changes brought over from MOH to BC2; several bugfixes, the client<->server send rates have been increased, some of the hitboxes themselves have been changed. This will increase the accuracy of guns, but will not make much of a difference to the knife.
Removed the blue box behind the chat window.

Steamships Ahoy - The Sacrifice DLC & Mac L4D2 [1:52 pm ET]

Though the news is not yet reflected on the Steam Website, Valve announces the Windows editions of The Sacrifice DLC for Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 are both now automatically through Steam, free of charge for owners of those games. This is accompanied by the release of the Mac edition of Left 4 Dead 2, which, like all Steamplay games, is free for those who already own the Windows edition. For those who don’t already possess the zombie shooter sequel, Left 4 Dead 2 is currently on sale for 66% off, as is the original Left 4 Dead (though the Mac edition of that is not expected until the end of this month). The Xbox 360 editions of both DLC are expected later today. Here’s word on The Sacrifice for those who have only taken a passing interest to this point:
