Rayne's First ever Blog Entry

Heya all thinking of creating a comp in L4D Versus mode.

Need some hands up for interest for IPX team for this b4 I go to steam forums and try to generate some interest there for other teams.
There are other clan tags in game so other teams may be interested in doing this too.

When I get enough interest I can then spend some time forming a ladder type system to run the competition on which cant be done until I have how many teams would be thinking of entering.

On the note of comps sad we lost tonight but to be expected against such an experienced team of players such as GZ we put up a good fight when we got past the nerves of being pwnd in the first five minutes :D
We can do better we need to PRACTICE MORE :)
Was also getting used to a start of match button change that was unexpected but given some time getting used to it in the pubs I should be doing better.

RAYNE IS HYPER NOOB FOREVER AND EVER she hates the other weapons :D

Steam Spray

After being told off for using the old IPX logo in steam (just kidding) I went and converted these two images into a transparent png format ready for adding personal touches.

Enjoy!

I don’t have photoshop anymore so I did the best I could with paint.net :)

Blog page on front page www.teamipx.net

Been thinking about this one a little bit. Let me post some screens…

And when you click the new links in the second image, it goes to that users blog postings.

Could also add an activity tracking (4 New Posts) etc.

Is it possible?

Could even add the links in a control field at the top of the homepage

10 Awesome Linux Applications for Your PlayStation 3

So you’ve installed that shiny Ubuntu distro onto your PlayStation 3 and finagled a couple of cool applications to boot. And yet, there’s still a lot of empty real estate on that newly formatted hard drive, and you’re no doubt pondering what else you can load up on your now living room-friendly PC. Turns out, there are literally thousands of options available; but the task of sorting through the seemingly endless lists and testing each and every app to see if it suits your tastes and jives with the PS3 can be a daunting task. But luckily for you, we’ve done exactly that; we rolled up our sleeves, burned the midnight oil, and muscled the necessary digital elbow grease to whittle down the Ubuntu archives to the top 10 absolute keepers. So what are you waiting for? Plug in your PS3’s keyboard and mouse, fire up Jaunty Jackalope, and read onward to get cracking.

Newbie Guide: How to shop at MSY Australia

Laughed my arse off reading this. For anyone in the dark, MSY is a very cheap hardware shop. I’ve heard many a story (Panda mostly) about how terrible the experience is buying from there. Anyway, have a read, while I continue to be thankful I’ve never tried to buy from there.

Folding update - May 2009

Last time we checked in on the Team IPX Folding@Home project we had just broken into the top 10,000 teams worldwide.

Since then we have slowly been climbing the rankings and as of today are ranked 6557 – and that’s just with Hashy, Robag and myself.

We’d love it if we could get some more contributors and push that ranking up even higher. Remember, you don’t need high powered hardware to contribute, any old piece of junk can fold during periods of inactivity. And it’s easy to set up a folding task to run when your PC has been inactive for 10 or 15 mins, and stop when you come back to your PC.

How to get involved: here

Thanks for the contributions of those involved.

EDIT: Update, 25/5/2009 – Rank 5755.
High enough for Extreme Overclocking’s stats site to index our team (but not yet out individual users – need to get to top 3000 for that).
