7 dinosaurs you could take in a fight

Top of the morning to ye,

Being a bit of a dinosaur fan myself, I enjoyed this one:
http://www.cracked.com/blog/7-dinosaurs-you-could-take-in-a-fight/

Far cry from dinosaurs in their hey day… er… back in the 80’s (that’s the best segway I could come up with for these)

Galaxy Online - Alpha Test

Hey All

If you were wondering where i’ve been the last few days, I decided to take some time out from super hi graphics console and pc gaming, shoot em up, bang bang, and try something a little more strategy based.

Galaxy Online is in Alpha stage at the moment( and it shows in some places heh). It is free to play (there is a “mall point” system which you can use to aid your expansions, but it isnt “necessary”), online, and did I mention “free”? =p

The graphics leave much to be desired, however it is not the point of this game. Strategy, numbers, patience, timing, are things that will aid you more with this one.

“Top down” view of your “Galaxy” ( what the game calls “Galaxies”, are really more “solar systems”), it is not so much “TURN BASED”, more then time based. It will take time to build your buildings, more so as you upgrade them, and it will take time to travel to other systems.

Frontlines: Fuel of War

Here is the promised review

This game is based in the not to distant future where the world has almost run out of oil. The lack of fuel is causing world economys huge problems, with smaller countrys struggling to survive. Most countrys join up into one of two teams. Most of what is now NATO joins the Western Coalition. Russia and China create the Red Star Alliance.
Red star launches attacks because of suspision that a coup in a oil rich Red Star Nation was caused by Western Coalition. As both teams scramble to secure the fast dissapearing oil supplies it turns into all out war.

This game has acutally been out for quite a while but to be blunt when it was released it was crap. It was buggy and nothing worked. There was lots of hype but it did not live up expectations.
5 patches later ands its become a really good game. They have fixed all the issues and I have yet to find any new ones.

Insurgency

Insurgency is another steam game, to be precise, a mod of Half Life 2.

Insurgency pits two teams (the americans and the insurgents) against each other in an ultra realistic bloodbath for control of ‘zones’ within the current theatre of combat. Infantry only, a single burst from an AK74 will drop someone dead, and grenades and RPG’s leave your ears ringing and deaf for a short period of time. Bullets go thru some surfaces, allowing some sneaky strategies to be employed, but overall, Insurgency is one hell of a fun, addictive, realistic, true to life first person shooter that tests teamwork skills and situational awareness, and of course, your shooting skills.

The weapons have no computer aided sights, its all manual, and ironsighted/scoped.

It has a pretty active australian community, roughly half the size of ETQW, and players can always be found on servers.

I’m a huge fan of the game and genre (realistic fps), and I highly recommend it to all of you.

Site outage

Hi all,

There was a slight issue with an attempt to update the test site today which resulted in the live site’s database being overwritten. I’ve reverted the live site to last nights backup. This means any content from about 4am today has been lost. If you posted anything since then, please repost if it’s important. Other than that, everything should be back to normal.

If anything’s not working, please raise an issue

Regards,
Fuzz
(not how I planned to spend my Sunday, but what can you do)

Johnny's Little Away Trip.

Hey guys, just blogging here to fill in my disappearance for the past 2 months.

Basically the main thing for this trip is my Brother’s Wedding.

Starting from the left, there’s my Sister, Sis-In-Law, Brother and finally me.

After the wedding I set off to find myself a job and somehow landed a job as a bartender.
And that’s how I spent my last 2 months.
Oh, and here are some pictures.

Here’s Johnny!

Here’s Johnny’s drinking buddies.

That’s all I am gonna tell for today.
Until next time, IPX.

The death of Ooz...

Got bored with the idea of racing to Sup.Com again, now you guys have given me a better goal to achieve cough awards cough . Having said that my “Ooz” account has summarily been removed from IPX and deleted :)

Ooz shall be missed :(
