It’s been a while. No… actually it’s been a LONG while since I’ve played Rust. I’ve been preoccupied with NBA, and other endeavours.

But today I decided it was time to fire up some Rust and see how the new versions going. It looks really good. I haven’t kept up with the Devblog to see all these changes. But it’s very different and looks a heap more playable than last time I joined.

In 10 minutes of playtime I found:

- Some houses – A massive satelite dish, that I climbed to the top of (unsure if human made or part of the map) – Fought a deer – Killed a naked and stole his skull – Spent most of the remaining 9 minutes just staring at the beautiful scenery and wondering where to go – Until I found another house. Banged on its door for a while until a guy with a spear came out, speared me, stole my rock while I was dying, and left me to bleed out.

Think it’s worth giving another go with a bunch of people if anyones interested.

Last weekend, the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall hosted BrickCon, one of the nation’s largest and longest-running public exhibitions of LEGO art and dioramas. While Ars’ staff suffers from varying levels of LEGO-mania, we all thought this convention’s 13th annual iteration might be a cool place to see a range of amateur and professional block creations.

This year’s show, in particular, caught our eye thanks to a hot tip about a Doom-themed installation, so we rushed in with our camera to snap a few choice hellions, and then we proceeded to catalog much of what we saw at the show. Take a look at our gallery for Technics, trains, war reenactments, pop culture minutiae, castles, space stations, boats, cars, and much more.

Elf needs food badly! Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announces they’ve thrown down the gauntlet with the release of Gauntlet, a remake of the arcade classic for Windows PCs. Here’s word:

“This new digital version of Gauntlet innovates on past titles while staying true to the brand’s legendary four-player format,” said David Haddad, Executive Vice President, Publishing Operations, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Multiplayer gameplay is at the core of Gauntlet’s appeal and now gamers have the option to play with friends and family locally and online.”

looks promising chivalry might be heading to linux ofcourse one of the first comments you see is some entitled windows user posting something like this:

if it does come out it will probably be one of the ones i pick up next sale along with borderlands 2(and the pre sequel) and a million other linux titles that have yet to be announced :)
