Logitech is relaunching the MX518 and I’ve never been so excited for a mouse

One For Shad

I own two mice. One is a Logitech MX518 attached to my desktop. The other is a Logitech MX518 attached to my laptop. I refuse to purchase any other mouse and get a little anxious when I think about the mission I will have to embark on to eventually find a replacement MX518. Well, not anymore.

Logitech today announced it is bringing back the “legendary” (the company’s word, not mine) MX518 gaming mouse. The announcement says “many consider [it] to be the finest gaming mouse of all time.” I am definitely one of those people.

Friday 1 Feb - Fistful of Frags/Padman Fun Night

Just checking the level of interest in a fun night of digitally annihilating each other?

It has been a while since the last one, and would provide the socially recalcitrant members (like me) an excuse to catch-up :)

Anyway if you’re keen post a date/time below that works for you and we’ll sort something out.

Otherwise I hope everyone’s having a cracking 2019!

EA Cancels Open-World Star Wars Game

Electronic Arts has canceled its open-world Star Wars game, according to three people familiar with goings-on at the company. The game, announced alongside the shutdown of Visceral Games back in 2017, had been in development at EA’s large office in Vancouver.

EA Vancouver, a large studio that mostly handles support for a variety of the publisher’s games including FIFA and Battlefront, had been working on this open-world Star Wars game since October 2017, when EA closed Visceral Games. Until then, Visceral—best known for its popular Dead Space horror series—was developing its own Star Wars game.

Winamp 5.8 Media Player Released in All Its Nostalgic Glory

it’s back baby

Back in the days before we got our music from the cloud using Spotify and Pandora, we would use MP3 players to play our music. When it came to players, there was (is?) no player more popular than Winamp.

Whether you like the vintage skins, the visualizers, or just a media player with a ton of options, Winamp had it all. Guess what? The world’s most famous media player – Winamp – is back with changes that make it compatible with today’s more modern operating systems such as Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
