With the weather so hot outside i decided to stay inside all day until it cooled down. it started to get hotter so i got a temp. gauge and put it in the sun. after about 5 minutes i went back to check it. IT WAS AT 49 DEGREES (celsius)!!! so i went on the computer to download a few things when the power went out.it was about 1 o’clock. the worst thing was there was no air conditioner. so waiting around for about a couple of hours wasnt so good. so i went for a swim hoping that when i get back it will be back on. i got back at around 5-ish and it still wasnt on. i started to get realy annoyed. i went for a walk to see what the problem was. as i went around the corner there where sum electricity guys trying to fix a power pole. they where all arguing over how to get it to work. i asked them how long it will take and they said within the next hour. so went back home. i waited an hour.still no power.

This short film was made for a budget of $30 by a guy from Uruguay. He’s since been offered a contract to direct a $300m Hollywood blockbuster… if he can do this with $30 I can see why.

OK, so it’s a just big special effects sequence. Pretty cool though.

Submissions are open for an R18+ games classification in Australia

Submissions are being sought on whether the Australian National Classification Scheme should include an R 18+ classification category for computer games. Submissions can be made by downloading and completing the submission template. Submissions may also be emailed, snail mailed or faxed. The discussion paper and submission template contain the contact details for making a submission.

Summer Holidays!!

Ok, summer holidays are coming up and this means I’ll be off on holiday on and off through out the summer.

I have access to internet everywhere I go, (almost anyway) and so I can semi pay attention to the website, but I won’t be playing any games till I’m back. I have no idea really how long I’ll be, ranging from 1 week to 6. Occasionally I’ll be in IRC and feel free to ask me for a game of anything, and I’ll tell ya there if I can or can’t or whatever…

Seeya in a few weeks guys. :)

If anyone gets a subscription to APC Magazine, check the January 2010 issue on page 67. You will see a familiar (and might I say very attractive) face, and a full page article featuring me and my computer :)

I’ve won this month’s APC Master Builder competition (http://apcmag.com/masterbuilder.htm) for putting together my media center PC. I believe I win a Intel Core i5 CPU for being published, and something further for winning this round. Apparently I now get given a “special challenge” and if picked as a finalist travel to Sydney to build a PC on the spot… taking it home if I win (OK, not bloody likely, but anyhow).
