The Gaming Machine of Delayed Gratification.

m0rnin all

So yesterday.. It finally arrived yes. The box for this thing is the same size and dimension as the box my mainboard came in.. Sorry the pics aren’t the best. Was more in a rush to get the thing installed, then to patiently take all the photos possible and drool.

image scale: white paper on that hard to see notepad is 7cm wide

the top half (well..its the bottom now isn’t it..) is its own cooling system =)

2x Molex goes in here….. somewhere….=/

Size of the box… hahaha =D

This completes the intended upgrades to my core system, anyone have some links to a good benchmarking program?, I can get some figures out there for us to look at.

So my system currently stands as being:

  • AMD Phenom X4 9550
  • 4GB system RAM ( 2x Kingston sticks, DDR3 maybe, if not, DDR2)

Worlds Tallest Building: Burj Khalifa

m0rnin’

And now we have, this behemoth. =)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burj_Khalifa
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Burj_Dubai-Dubai3214.JPG

The Burj Khalifa, formerly known as the Burj Dubai, stands at 828metres (2,717feet), and has taken 6 years to complete.
160 habitable floors, 334,000 m2 of floor space for various uses including Accomodation/Hotels, Restaurants, Observation, and 55 floors for Mechanical, and also 3 floors for Communications & Broadcasting too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:BurjDubaiHeight.svg

So what I want to know is, with all those floors for “mechanical” usage, when does the thing transform and get up to move?

I’m guessing in 30 odd years when the base is underwater xD

2010 - International Year of Biodiversity, Communcations, and for the Reapproachment of Cultures

m0rnin

You heard it here first. And now you ask the same question I did.

Keh?

2009 Was more “widely” known as the International Year of Astronomy. Ive got the hundred + dollars of mint coins to prove it. But as it is so, there are also usually a few other “observances” each year too. 2009 was also;
the International Year of Reconciliation,
the International Year of Fibres,
the International Year of The Shark,
and the Year of the Gorilla.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_observance

I think this team, given the type of communications platform we use, are doing pretty well when it comes to working with the International Year of Communications. I think if we can find ways to improve what we have at all, that would be nice.

Another year, another decade. Share your stories here (or somebody elses).

Here’s just a reminder of what we missed:

Things I missed, or, avoided :

Also, the trend patterns for Jeans are a joke. Just wear whatever the fuck you want, and eventually it will cycle back into fashionable. Jerks.

Share here all! =)

AVP3 Appeal Successful! Ban Overturned!

http://www.smarthouse.com.au/Gaming/Games/D2G2H4E6

Yes. Good. =)

Now 15 year olds will be able to cut off heads and collect and trophies, and eat their way out of a humans chest.. First the stomach.. mmm, then, the ribcage, oh yes.. Maybe an extra layer of flesh or two in between somewhere.

Now this is by all means, a mostly win situation for the current move to bring in an R18+. It does highlight the need for that category. We can still do what we’ve always done, and push some of those game through under the MA15+ classification, but we really do need to straighten out our system. To be honest, Australian teenagers are no more mature or responsible then those from other countries. I used to think when I was younger that, wow, the Australian government reckons were more mature and responsible, we get these games when were 15, and we can legally smoke when were 16.

Earthen Civilizations: Multiple Choices.

To the issue of the planet, and its future.

We are aware of, to some degree, the effects and impacts that our civilization, and mere presence, has on the planet itself, and the ecological balance. The delicate balance between the life of the planet, and the breath of the planet, the atmosphere.
Right now the world is focused on this balance between us, the ecology, and the atmosphere. As it is, they are planning to continue things much as they have been, but to begin to collect funds to use to, progressively shift our industrial bases towards a cleaner and more sustainable output. Continue on doing what were doing basically, with the impact that we are making, while showing a token effort to address and solve the problem.

As I see it, we have “three” main courses of action which we must all undertake together in order to bring about its successful resolution.

Battleswarm. FPS vs RTS gameplay. Bugs.. BUGS!!!!

PC WINDOWS!!! PC WINDOWS!!! PC WINDOWS!!! PC WINDOWS!!! PC WINDOWS!!! PC WINDOWS!!! PC WINDOWS!!! PC WINDOWS!!! PC WINDOWS!!! PC WINDOWS!!!

m0rnin’

I stumbled upon this the other day. Really liked the concept of FPS vs RTS game play, was something me and a friend were discussing a month or two back, so once seeing that in the description for this game, on a regular ( but usually fruitless) browse through Internode’s Games Network, I knew I really had to give this one a go.

The training/tutorial levels are a pain in the butt, but really are essential. Get through them.. Even if you think starting from one side of the map and running to the other at each stage is annoying, just bare with it and get through all of that then get into the real gameplay.

Counter-Lobbyism and Good Shame

s0,

http://www.incgamers.com/News/19394/lobby-group-calls-for-modern-warfare...

The lobbyist, anti controversial computer game organizations have taken fire now at Modern Warfare 2, over a scene in the game going through an airport, shooting unarmed civilians from a terrorist perspective. That’s right folks! A busy time of year for video games makes for good business for the OFLC and parent groups eager to protect young adults from their obvious own lack of self consciousness, making it perfect justification to take their freedom of choice away, excellent, truly excellent!

truly bullsh!t.
