Upgraded from a slug to a beast

So for the last few months I’ve had enormous trouble playing games due to the fact that I had a cheap laptop which was very very slow.

Well nooowww, I bought myself a computer and am ready slay zombies and rob banks in glorious high detail 1080p!

My specs:
Graphics Chip: Nvidia GT460
PSU: 700W Cooler Master Power Supply
Memory: 8GB 1.6GHz memory Gigabyte
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670 3.4GHz
HD: 3TB Seagate Barracuda

All being played on a 24” LED monitor.

Alright, so it’s not enthusiast (not made of money here;) ) but it definitely does a job with rendering those zombies and creating those glorious blood splatters.

Linux Gaming: NS2 and more

if you have ever played Tremulous this is the game for you. Natural selection 2 is a FPS/Strategy game where aliens and marines fight for survival. the linux version was released 4 weeks ago its quite buggy and performance is quite bad(my 590 only gets 60-90 fps and i have to keep everything on low or itll crash before the 1st games over) but the game is good enough to look past those issues

Differences from Tremulous:
* each side has a Commander who places upgrades, structures and tries to organise the team
* research system
* instead of the dretch, granger, basilisk, marauder, dragoon, tyrant we have the skulk(free), Gorge(healer) Lerk(flying class), fade, Onos
* less weapons then tremulous you start off with the rifle and can later buy a shotgun. with an advanced armoury that gets extended to a Grenade Launcher and Flamethrower

Wow, it’s been six years! Happy birthday ETQW and congrats to Splash Damage!
It was great and still had so much more potential!
Some great mates were found/made during this games era – a real fun time for IPX

The countdown on the Steam Living Room page has concluded, and this page has details on SteamOS, “available soon as a free operating system designed for the TV and the living room,” the promised announcement about Valve’s future plans for Linux and Steam.
