IPX Server Downtime

There is some essential electricity work going on which means the IPX Server needs to be off-line for a while – you may have already noticed this week ;-)

It all started when the hot water system packed it in, then to get a new hot water system we need to upgrade the electricity box because apparently some new building code has come in to effect which states the distance from the edge of the building and hight from the ground. So the meter box needed to be moved; in addition apparently we needed another phase of power and the existing line would not support it, so that too needs to be replaced. All in all 8K worth of upgrading electricity infrastructure (might as well rewire the whole house) for a lousy $800 hot water system that crapped out.

Ahh building regulations, got to love them and not care about them at the same time.

UPDATE
As we didn’t get enough responses, we’re unable to do this one. I forgot to respond, so that’s cost us an extra ladder spot, sorry all.

UPDATE
The best we have for any one time so far is 4 players. If we don’t get two more signed up by tomorrow at 5pm, we’re going to have to let this one go by. If you aren’t sure, just let us know your best guess, no-one will hold you to account if it’s wrong :)

No rest for the wicked, we’ve now got to take on S2 runners up: MaD Red. We can call it a learning opportunity ;)

Place your availability below, if we don’t have enough for a team by the response deadline (19/11 at 5pm) then we’ll have to decline.

Formalhaut b : Extra Solar Planet Photographed!

Photographed by Hubble.

http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2008/13nov_fomalhaut.htm

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hubble/science/fomalhaut.html

http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2008/images/fomalhaut/289899main_foma...

The planet is currently called, Formalhaut b. Formalhaut being the name of the star. Formalhaut “a”, being the parent Star itself ofcourse. The cloudy dusty “ring” is aggregates of gas and dust. The inner rings edge is sharpened/defined with the help of Formalhaut b.

The planet is about 3 Jupiter masses. This does not mean the same “diameter”. For example, it could be 3 times as “massive” then our Jupiter, but only Twice the diameter, indicating higher density.
The star is about 25 Lightyears from us.

“The planet is 10.7 billion miles from the star, or about 10 times the distance of the planet Saturn from our sun”

It may possibly have a disk/ring system, like our Saturn, because the planet is brighter then it “should” be.
