ET:QW Configs

Howdy Fellas

For those who wernt at “training” lastnight or for those who didnt take it seriously. Tweaks/Configs (a way to cheat within an allowable threashold) are used by 99% of teams 99.9% of the time. We are the 1%! Now I know some of us use configs more then others, then there are those amongst us who don’t use any at all. Maybe its something we need to look into? I’m not saying configs are the be all and end all or that they are going to compensate against your “PD” or lack of aim, but they can “even” the playing field.

From the makers of our favourite cartoon shoot-em-up comes...

Iron Grip:Warlord is a new game in development by Isotx games. The bsaic rundown:
– Not released yet, no release date announced
– Commercial game, at low cost
– Single player or co-op multiplayer versus AI
– Base defence style of play, where the players have to hold off increasingly large armies of AI controlled enemy for a period of time
– Turrets, vehicles, bases, walkers, air strikes, traps and more, all buildable and upgradeable by players
– Players gain upgrades with experience also, with multiple classes, weapons and abilities
– Enhanced Quake 3 engine based, so should work for us Linux junkies and playable at high frame rates and detail with lower spec machines

OK, so what makes this a game worth waiting for? The developer has hired ENTE and cyrri, two of the twisted brains behind World of Padman to develop this game with them!

UPDATE TO MY UPDATE:
I didn’t respond. Absolutely my fault, sorry guys. I was out for the afternoon and didn’t get back in time, and forgot to leave instructions for anyone else to do it on my behalf.
Really sorry for the stuff-up.

UPDATE:
Looks like the Wednesday time is the most popular. The team will most likely be: n0mad, Fuzz, Robag, Johnny, Chipper, HarrassmentPanda with me a distant maybe.
Sewer is the most wanted map, so start thinking about some strategies. Any volunteers for captain?

Practice will be the normal Tuesday session, but we’ll work on sewer especially.
I’ll accept the challenge tomorrow with these details unless there are major changes.
